Banpu grants THB 1.5 Million Developing and Restoring Schools in Southern Border Provinces


Bangkok – Recently, Banpu Public Company Limited, a leading Asian Energy Company, led by Ms. Udomlux Olarn, Head of Corporate Affairs and Mr. Prach Chongkittisakul (right), Vice President of New Business presented THB 1.5 million sponsorship, for 11th consecutive year, to 10 schools in special development zone of southern border provinces including Narathiwat, Pattani and Yala through Mr. Narong Paewpolsong (2nd from left), Deputy Secretary General of Office of the Basic Education Commission (OBEC) and Mr. Atthasit Rattanaklaew (left), Director of Bureau of Educational Development for Special Administration Zone in the South at OBEC, Bangkok.

Since 2007, Banpu Public Company Limited has continuously granted funds supporting schools in special development zone of southern border provinces to develop and restore schools in the areas of unrest as well as to allow these schools to continue their teaching and learning activities as usual. This ongoing contribution is driven by Banpu’s belief that learning is the power of change and development. Currently, the Company has provided the financial aid to 111 schools in the province of Narathiwat, Pattani, Yala, Songkla and Satun.
